Staff Engineer

Why we’re looking for you:

• Orders are the heartbeat of a restaurant, and our platform needs someone who can reason about event-sourced and CRDT systems.
• We need another Staff-level engineer to share architectural load and make the platform more resilient as we scale.

The impact you'll have:

• Act as an architect within the Orders Platform team, setting technical direction for orders and building event-sourced systems that stay correct under failures.
• Partner closely with Product, Payments, Reporting, and engineering teams to ship reliable ordering flows end to end.
• Improve observability, replay, and recovery to find and fix order-state problems quickly while minimizing costs.

What we’re looking for:

• Hands-on experience with event sourcing, CRDTs, or comparable offline-first data approaches.
• Staff-level experience leading technical direction without losing touch with the code.
• Clear communication and customer empathy, including willingness to work directly with restaurants.
