Patient Financial Services Associate II

Position Overview:

• Responsible for accurate and timely processing of claims, appeals, denials, and statements.
• Demonstrates medical insurance knowledge and resolves billing discrepancies for optimal AR outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and update accounts in Epic.
• Review, edit, and submit claims, and follow up on unpaid aging claims via phone and portals.
• Analyze denials and determine appropriate next steps, including appeals or write-offs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma and 2+ years of medical billing or insurance experience.
• Knowledge of government, managed care, and commercial insurance requirements.
• Proficiency in Epic or other EHR systems and strong attention to detail.
