Job Description
This position may be eligible for remote work for up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the Remote Work Pilot Program. DCWP is seeking a supervising attorney with relevant experience in litigation and issues affecting low-wage workers.
Responsibilities include:
- Handling a docket of complex cases, including high-impact investigations and litigation before the NYC Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings and in state courts;
- Supervising 3-4 attorneys who handle litigation and investigations;
- Managing all aspects of litigation, including drafting and arguing motions, taking depositions, preparing for and leading trials and mediations, and negotiating settlements;
- Leading special enforcement initiatives related to new OLPS laws, vulnerable worker populations, or high-violation industries;
- Contributing to development of internal enforcement policies and procedures;
- Handling certain administrative and personnel matters for direct reports.
