Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted technical support for mining governance, focusing on legal and regulatory reforms.
- Ensure work is technically grounded and aligned with international standards.
- Provide inputs on local content, community benefit-sharing, and environmental-social impact requirements.
Consultant Profile:
- Core expertise in mining law and governance in low-income African countries.
- Familiarity with IFC Performance Standards and institutional frameworks like World Bank.
- Experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a preference for West Africa and Liberia.
Engagement Details:
- Work up to 30 days intermittently from May 2026 through March 2027.
- Remote-based role with potential travel to Liberia.
- Must be available on short notice and adaptable to MCC's processes and culture.
