Job Description
As an early-career Behaviour Support Practitioner, you’ll make a real difference in the lives of people living with disability by helping them and those around them. You will focus on enhancing quality of life, reducing behaviours of concern and promoting the rights of people with disability. You will work as part of a team including practitioners, a team leader and clinical advisors, to support people with evidence-based practice along with developing your own knowledge, skills and experience. You live in or close to Portland or Hamilton.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner you will: Support our clients (NDIS participants), along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning Identify meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Famework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community. Develop, deliver and evaluate evidence-based support plans within a complex support space Ensure individual plans reflect our clients' goals, passions and strengths Build the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support our clients - family, carers, friends, etc.
