Job Description

The Community Advocate Pharmacy Technician is responsible for providing consistent points of contact for community staff, with the goal of enhancing customer relationships within various areas of Symbria. The technician will answer and respond to incoming phone calls from nursing staff and doctors to address inquiries, as well as make calls to clarify or obtain patient and prescription information. The role involves triaging calls, assisting callers, contacting physician’s offices for refill authorizations, verifying orders with clients, and processing new and refill prescriptions. Maintaining productivity and quality standards while opening orders, verifying eligibility, proofing, and inputting prescriptions are also essential. Documenting correspondence, following up, preparing audit sheets, providing feedback to the manager, and forwarding incomplete scripts are part of the daily responsibilities. Answering incoming calls and providing outstanding customer service is expected.
