As a Senior Software Engineer in Automation at Canva, you will lead complex transformation initiatives. This involves owning and driving high-impact, multi-system automation projects from discovery through production. You'll architect scalable solutions, design elegant, maintainable system architectures that balance immediate needs with long-term scalability. You will also build advanced platform capabilities by creating sophisticated frameworks, libraries, and tools that enable other engineers to move faster and solve classes of problems. This role involves driving operational excellence, implementing monitoring and alerting, as well as leading incident response. Contribute to roadmap planning and technical strategy, and help prioritise work based on business impact and technical considerations.
