National Tax Office Leader, Senior Tax Director

Aprio is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to head our Canada National Tax Office (NTO). This role is pivotal in laying the foundation and shaping the firm’s national tax policy, generating Federal and Provincial tax thought-leadership, and ensuring technical excellence across all tax practices. The Senior Tax Director will lead the development of tax technical positions and policy interpretations on complex and emerging tax issues. The director will oversee the creation and dissemination of technical publications, alerts, and thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders. They will also monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments, providing timely guidance and strategic insights to clients and internal teams. The person in this role will support client service teams with high-level technical advice and strategic tax planning insights from existing and new developments in law, regulations and court cases.
