As Head of Tax, you will manage all aspects of taxation across the group, ensuring compliance and creating strategies that optimize our tax position. The role involves deep technical expertise across multiple jurisdictions in Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe, coupled with a strong commercial mindset, working closely with finance, legal, and corporate secretarial teams.

The surplus lines tax analyst is responsible for coordinating timely filing and payment of surplus lines taxes to respective state(s). Primary tasks include running reports, filing taxes, investigating and resolving corrections, answering questions from field offices, and collaborating with state insurance departments.

Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of high-net worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Oversee complex tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries. Work with clients to minimize their federal, state, and local tax liability. Supervise tax associates' assignments and manage the day-to-day delivery of tax consulting services to the client.

The Business Tax Compliance Specialist ensures companies meet critical indirect tax obligations, such as sales, use, and payroll taxes, while navigating complex regulations. This role is vital to preventing compliance risks, mitigating audit findings, and maintaining accurate tax filings. The specialist ensures efficient processes, fosters client trust, and safeguards businesses against costly penalties or missed deadlines.

As a member of our Tax Operations team, you will support our tax information reporting and compliance efforts related to the purchase and sale of equities and crypto by collaborating with product, project, and engineering teams to launch, improve and scale Robinhood products and systems. You will also help Customer Experience and Account Ops teams handle tax related inquiries and resolve reporting and withholding issues.
