Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain packages for supported Linux distributions and architectures, including release activities.
- Develop and maintain official GitLab container images and tooling for efficient component building.
- Enable development teams to integrate components into GitLab packages via self-service guides and infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Experience with Linux build toolchains like autotools, make, CMake, and Nix.
- Proficiency in building container images and using container build tooling in production.
- Familiarity with Debian-based and Red Hat Enterprise Linux-based systems for .deb and .rpm packages.
Team and Culture:
- The Distribution team produces system packages, container images, and marketplace listings.
