Job Description
As the Head of Marketing at pawaPay, you will be the first dedicated marketing hire, responsible for building and leading a high-performing team. This pivotal role involves setting the marketing strategy and supporting the execution of initiatives that drive growth in a rapidly expanding business. This role requires a focus on strong leadership, driving brand awareness, and demand generation through account-based marketing (ABM). Youβll be accountable for developing the brand and driving profitable growth across EMEA, America and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Main duties include increasing pawaPay's brand awareness across target markets, establishing a strong presence in the mobile money sector, developing and implementing an ABM-based demand generation strategy, and ensuring consistency across all marketing communications. Collaboration with sales and product teams is crucial, as is the use of performance metrics to optimize tactics. You'll also define and execute a successful marketing strategy, build a budget, and hire a high-performing marketing team, fostering a performance-based culture of enablement, growth, transparency, accountability, and financial discipline.
