Job Description
The Claims Representative is responsible for investigating and resolving auto physical damage and property damage claims in a timely and efficient manner, while providing exceptional customer service in a team environment. The role involves handling a high volume of calls and making regular contact with customers on multiple platforms, collaborating cohesively with other team members to achieve department goals.
Essential functions include verifying coverage to Policyholders and setting clear expectations,setting reserves for losses, arranging vehicle inspections and rental authorizations, and making referrals to specialty teams. The representative serves as the primary customer contact and coordinates with other departments while researching and responding to customer inquiries and concerns to ensure satisfaction. They document interactions and activities related to claims using company systems and escalate files with significant exposure to their supervisor.
