Role Overview:
- This is a foundational remote role based in the US, responsible for building and operating Bellroy's physical retail presence from the ground up.
- You will own the site pipeline, lead construction projects, and manage store teams to create a cohesive and scalable operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the commercial real estate process, including site selection, lease negotiation, and landlord relationships to secure new store locations.
- Manage fit-out and construction timelines and budgets, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors to open stores on schedule.
- Lead and develop Store Managers, setting performance expectations and providing direct feedback to ensure operational excellence.
- Shape retail technology and operational systems, advocating for tools that serve the frontline crew and documenting repeatable processes.
Qualifications and Travel:
- Requires 5–7 years of experience in retail operations, multi-site management, or similar, with a proven track record of opening new sites.
- The role involves regular monthly travel for site searches, construction visits, store openings, and quarterly operational reviews.
