Project Accountant

Billing and Customer Interface:

• Prepare and administer billings according to contract terms and cost principles.
• Respond to customer invoice questions and resolve discrepancies with internal departments.
• Track invoice submissions, approvals, and collections to minimize delays.

Project Accounting and Financial Reporting:

• Work with project managers to track costs, billing progress, and contract funding.
• Review monthly activity for accuracy, coding, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare billing trackers, aging reports, and forecasts.

Month-End Close and Process Improvement:

• Complete assigned billing and reconciliation activities within deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records and audit documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing and collection processes.
