Accountant (Must Reside within the DMV / PA area)

As an Accountant, you'll leverage FP&A experience to support financial reporting and analysis, assist in payroll forecasting and budgeting, and provide insights into compensation trends. You will process payroll for full-time employees and 1099 contractors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state tax laws. This involves applying federal, state, and local tax rates, deductions, and withholdings. You will also ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll taxes, prepare tax documents, and monitor changes in tax legislation to proactively implement necessary payroll process adjustments. Maintaining records, responding promptly to employee inquiries, collaborating with HR and Finance, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting audits are all essential parts of this role. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, 1+ year of experience in accounting and payroll, familiarity with payroll tax laws, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and strong organizational skills are required to be successful.
