Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyze health insurance applications to determine the risk they pose.
  • Interpret and analyze underlying claims experience to inform underwriting decisions.
  • Work closely with sales teams to develop competitive insurance products and strategies.

Experience and Skills Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, plus professional actuarial credentials (e.g., ASA, FSA).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial health insurance underwriting (not Medicare, Medicaid, or individual market/ACA plans).
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Must live in the United States in the CST or EST time zones.
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separate from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that receives an existing high-speed internet connection/service.
