Position Overview:
- Designs and administers the commercial property/casualty insurance and self-insurance programs.
- Assists the Penn State Health and University Risk Managers in risk identification, evaluation, and mitigation efforts.
- Works with the University’s Chief Risk Officer as well as insurance brokers and insurers to identify specific exposures and insurance coverage needs.
Responsibilities:
- Present risk management and insurance coverage interpretation and advise leadership as required.
- Lead risk and insurance efforts during potential acquisitions.
- Advocate for favorable insurance requirements in contract reviews.
Required Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic thinker; creative problem solver.
- Effective communicator with various Penn State Health and University constituents.
