Position Overview:

  • Designs and administers the commercial property/casualty insurance and self-insurance programs.
  • Assists the Penn State Health and University Risk Managers in risk identification, evaluation, and mitigation efforts.
  • Works with the University’s Chief Risk Officer as well as insurance brokers and insurers to identify specific exposures and insurance coverage needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Present risk management and insurance coverage interpretation and advise leadership as required.
  • Lead risk and insurance efforts during potential acquisitions.
  • Advocate for favorable insurance requirements in contract reviews.
