Responsibilities:
- Manages all financial reporting aspects for chapters using SFS, including preparing statements, reconciling accounts, and reviewing documentation.
- Reviews internal and external financial statements, ensures an accurate monthly close, and documents all variances.
- Monitors chapter performance against budget and national benchmarks, informing leadership of significant variances.
Leadership and Coordination:
- Leads and develops members of the accounting team, setting expectations and managing workload.
- Serves as the primary relationship manager for an assigned portfolio of chapters, providing reports and analysis.
- Acts as a key staff person in the annual internal and external audit process, communicating with various stakeholders.
Qualifications and Systems:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 3 years of accounting/financial reporting experience.
- Nonprofit accounting experience and people leadership experience are strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with Salesforce and NetSuite are highly valued.
