Job Description
The National Access Director will play a critical role in preparing for launch and facilitating urgent access to Tab-cel once approved. In the pre-approval phase, they will work closely with Pierre Fabreβs Cell Therapy Account Directors and Field Medical Directors to support site operational onboarding and readiness leading up to and after the anticipated approval of the Tab-Cel. They will be responsible for pre- and post-approval information exchanges with payers to ensure payers have the appropriate data and information required to enable coverage decisions and provide a pathway to coverage for patients who may be prescribed the Tab-cel post approval. Critically, they will ensure that financial stakeholders at treating facilities and payers have timely access to information needed to navigate the preparation for the relevant prior authorization process and potential single case agreements. Simultaneously, the National Access Director will be responsible for commercial payer engagement and contracting for Hemangeol.
They will educate payers on the unmet need and provide resources to ensure coverage, identify payer stakeholders, provide product education, and communicate the value proposition. The director will also communicate payer coverage with providers, educate them on reimbursement, and liaise with specialty distributors. They will communicate payer coverage criteria, prepare treatment centers for reimbursement, and ensure providers and payers have access to information for prior authorizations. Additionally, they will be the primary contact for patient assistance programs and address market access issues related to trade policy.
