Job Description
This position is responsible for all payroll-related functions for Charter Impact’s clients. As a Payroll Specialist, this position is responsible for providing training to client staff, entering new hires, employee changes, client communication and ensuring consistent and accurate payroll processing. This position is also responsible for payroll tax and vacation/PTO tracking, reconciling all payroll related accounts such as health insurance deductions, withholdings and garnishments.
Responsibilities include communicating with clients, collecting pay information, reviewing payroll reports, assisting with final checks, preparing retirement reporting, reconciling payroll-related liability accounts, creating payroll calendars, reviewing client paperwork, filing payroll documents, running reports, gathering audit documentation, and creating standard operating procedures. This position requires a high school diploma, with payroll-related coursework/certification as a plus, and 1-2 years of payroll processing experience. Must be able to adapt quickly to change and learn payroll processing rules.
