Legal Expert — Finance & Real Estate (Project Donna)

About the Role:

• This is a fully remote contract opportunity for an experienced legal professional specializing in finance and real estate.
• You will contribute your expertise to a human-preference study focused on evaluating AI-generated legal work products.
• The scope covers sophisticated matters including secured lending, project finance, RMBS, commercial leasing, and mixed-use development.

What You Will Do:

• Review synthetic legal matters and their underlying documentation, developing a clear understanding of the relevant legal and commercial context.
• Evaluate six blinded AI-generated legal deliverables for each matter, assessing their quality, accuracy, completeness, judgment, and practical usefulness.
• Provide concise, precise, and well-supported written reasoning for each preference, clearly explaining the factors behind your assessment.

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with substantive professional experience in finance and real estate matters.
• Strong ability to evaluate legal work product holistically, considering legal correctness, completeness, professional judgment, clarity, and usefulness.
• Excellent written English, with the ability to communicate detailed legal reasoning clearly, precisely, and concisely.
