Job Description

Management of all payrolls and payroll related activities to ensure employees are paid on time and in compliance with local legislations in Germany & other European countries. Responsible for the supervision and processing of the company’s payroll using external payroll providers. Update the payroll system (DATEV) and other external providers on new starters, leavers, and variables (bonuses, commissions, overtime etc.) to be processed each month. Tracking employee absence and assisting with holiday balance queries.

Ensure compliance with laws and regulations for full and accurate statutory reporting. Liaise with payroll and pension vendors and queries from local tax authorities. Set and manage various German and international pension schemes, salary sacrifice, net pay and relief at source in line with auto enrolment legislation. Assist with Pension queries and changes for the European payrolls. Work closely with Global benefits team to Implement and administer all reward and benefit schemes as per contract and entitlements. Obtaining relevant approvals from the accountant to commit the payroll and raise payment vouchers.

Complete year end for German payroll. Provide / upload share options data to Federal Central Tax Office annually. Create and post payroll journals to accounting system. Assisting financial and HR personnel with any payroll data requested. Assisting with internal and external audit queries and documentation. Review all payroll procedure on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with SOX and external audit requirements. Assisting employees with any payroll related questions and queries regarding their pay and handling any payment issues that arise.
