Job Summary:
- Supports core clinical informatics functions within VHA EHRM to enable safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
- Works under the guidance of Clinical Informaticist III and Health IT Principal Medical Informaticist resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess information and knowledge-based needs of healthcare professionals and patients.
- Characterize, evaluate, and refine clinical processes and develop clinical decision support systems.
- Lead or participate in procurement, customization, implementation, and continuous improvement of clinical information systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Informatics, Nursing, Health Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical informatics or EHR support experience.
- Experience supporting clinicians with EHR issue resolution and workflow analysis.
Desired Qualifications:
- Direct VA or Federal EHR (Oracle Health / Cerner) experience.
- Experience with post-go-live stabilization and Tiered Hub processes.
- Familiarity with Lean Portfolio Management and/or Agile delivery environments.
