Senior Counsel, Product & Commercial Legal

This position will provide legal support to Twilio’s R&D Organization and is a key component of the legal team and a trusted member of the business. As a Senior Counsel you are responsible for partnering with our global Product and Engineering teams to provide legal guidance throughout the product life cycle. You will help ensure that the development of our products and services meet our strategic objectives while complying with applicable laws and regulations in a business centric way. Responsibilities include advising Product and Engineering during all stages of product development on how to navigate potential legal risks, working with Product and Engineering teams to ensure compliance with existing applicable regulations. Further responsibilities include advising Product and Engineering teams on the go-to-market strategy for new products including structuring and drafting legal terms as required, supporting the commercial transactions legal team in reviewing, and negotiating legal agreements with customers. You'll also support the Privacy team in identifying privacy risks and conduct data protection. You'll assist with governance as it relates to the development and deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) features in products and AI model development to ensure responsible use, compliance with AI regulations, and alignment with industry best practices and develop and maintain legal processes and documentation to support the product legal team function.
