Sr. Product Accounting Manager

About the Role:

• This senior role is a technical accounting expert embedded within FinQuery's Product Accounting team, responsible for translating complex accounting standards into software requirements.
• The role partners closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure software reflects accurate interpretations of applicable frameworks.

What You'll Do:

• Be the accounting expert inside Product, translating US GAAP, IFRS, GASB, and international frameworks into requirements and test cases.
• Research and rule on ambiguous accounting questions, document reasoning, and monitor emerging guidance from standard-setters.
• Use AI as a force multiplier, validate AI-generated content, and teach accounting concepts to non-accounting audiences.

What You Bring:

• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and corporate debt structures, with ability to translate standards into plain language.
• Proficiency with AI tools and LLMs, strong communication skills, and ability to lead cross-functional working groups.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, active CPA license, and 4-6 years of Big 4 or senior corporate accounting experience.
