Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule office visits, in-office procedures, and operating room procedures, including pre-operation appointments and providing authorization information to outside facilities.
  • Communicate scheduling changes to team members, call patients for appointment reminders, and assist with scheduling and pre-certification duties for other practice disciplines as assigned.

Patient & Administrative Duties:

  • Process insurance pre-certifications and coordinate benefits for procedures and medications, informing patients of out-of-pocket expenses and collecting required fees.
  • Update patient registrations, obtain correct address and insurance information, and direct uninsured patients to the business office for payment requirements.

Compliance & Tracking:

  • Cross-reference incoming biopsy specimens daily with EHR reports for accuracy and ensure all biopsies ordered through the vendor were processed and received.
  • Role model Just Culture principles, maintain HIPAA compliance, and adhere to OSHA rules and regulations in all administrative tasks.
