Software Project Manager

The Software Project Manager (SPM) will support the Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) project, liaising closely with the Data Science and Web Management Teams to ensure a seamless provision of data capture, analytics and visualization products and services in support of the FEWS NET mission. Manage the software development teams and processes (70%) by running an Agile software development process, tracking key deliverables, mentoring teams, monitoring compliance, and managing the product backlog. Ensure continuous client satisfaction with the product (15%) through feedback mechanisms, identifying use-cases, supporting specification development, implementing user acceptance testing, ensuring successful client demos, and reporting on project performance. Manage help and software documentation processes (15%) by overseeing help desk and user documentation services, ensuring documentation is clear and up-to-date, and incorporating help desk feedback in production workflows.
