Job Responsibilities:
- Produce verbatim transcriptions in Catalan from audio recordings, capturing filler words, repetitions, and false starts.
- Add speaker labels for multi-speaker recordings and insert precise timestamps for text segments.
- Annotate non-speech events like laughter, background noise, or unclear audio to meet project guidelines.
Work Arrangement:
- The role is fully remote, allowing work to be completed at any time of day from anywhere globally.
- Contributors should commit at least 20 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling and workload volume.
Qualifications Required:
- Expert-level fluency in Catalan, including familiarity with regional accents and informal speech patterns.
- Strong listening comprehension and attention to detail for accurate verbatim transcription tasks.
- Experience in transcription, annotation, or linguistics is advantageous, with training provided for browser-based tools.
