Job Description

This role involves growing and leading a team of engineers dedicated to adapting products to automotive and industrial requirements. Represent Canonical and Ubuntu in the industrial and automotive community and standards consortia. Ensure products support standards for processes, cyber-security, and safety concerns. Enhance delivery quality, security, and developer experience, influencing culture and strategy. Report to the Vice President of Engineering Excellence and collaborate with the Automotive Product Manager to define and execute a vision and roadmap for automotive at Canonical. Work with Product Management to refine the automotive vision and strategy. Define and execute an engineering roadmap for the automotive team. Build and lead a distributed team, coordinating and guiding their work. Develop skills through coaching and technical leadership. Set and manage expectations with other teams and stakeholders. Advocate for agile software development practices. Grow a collaborative engineering culture and travel internationally twice a year.
