An overview of this role:
- Lead the team securing GitLab's own software factory, applying security capabilities across the estate.
- Drive proactive software supply chain security as a first-class capability within Product Security.
- Own the direction, delivery, and growth of the team, setting priorities and building team culture.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead comprehensive, governed rollouts of GitLab security capabilities across the estate.
- Serve as Customer Zero for security features, feeding evidence to Product and Engineering.
- Reduce systemic risk across groups and namespaces, including lateral movement and token governance.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience managing a security or engineering team, including hiring and career development.
- Technical fluency in security posture management, software supply chain security, and SaaS estate configuration.
- Ability to drive measurable impact under high ambiguity and build organizational buy-in.
