Job Description

The Benefits and Operations Specialist provides assistance with and facilitates human resource processes related to benefits and HR operations, to include HR systems. This role administers employee health and wellness plans and supports relationships between employees and insurance providers. This position resolves benefits and HR related problems. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and audits. Role & Responsibilities: Assist with the administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. Address employee benefit, leave, and other HR inquiries. Process OSHA and Worker’s Compensation claims. Conduct audits and review reports of benefits and HRIS information. Assist with review and posting of HR policies, procedures and handbook. Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files, records, and documentation. Support yearly HR compliance measures and open enrollment. Assist with 401(K) rollover, distributions, and changes. Collaborate with the benefits team to develop and administer employee wellness activities and initiatives. Perform other related duties as assigned.
