Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role:

• We are looking for Render's first Forward Deployed Engineer to work hands-on with our most strategic customers.
• You will balance white-glove engagement with top accounts and scoped onboarding intensives.
• This role defines the playbook for the Field Engineering function.

What you'll do:

• Provide concierge service across architecture reviews, migration planning, and hands-on delivery.
• Lead database engagements including Postgres tuning and migrations.
• Build the FDE playbook and act as a feedback channel to product.

What we're looking for: n- 8+ years in customer-facing engineering roles with strong software engineering fundamentals.

• Deep experience with cloud infrastructure, Postgres, and AI fluency.
• Excellent communication and self-directed with commercial instincts.
