Cardiac Device Technician

Responsibilities:

• Performs independently in the technical management of implanted cardiac pacemaker and ICD devices.
• Manages device patients and their care implementing treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other device team members.
• Able to perform basic interrogation, adjustments to programming as per protocol or specific order, and able to troubleshoot basic, intermediate and advanced device issues.

Qualifications:

• High School or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months training in pacemaker technology, to include training in device classes with all companies from beginning to intermediate to advanced.
• Minimum of five years in Cardiology in a clinic or hospital setting, or as a device industry representative.

• Develops credible relationships with medical and non-medical staff and peers.
