Job Description
The Level II System Support Specialist plays a key role in the delivery and support of radiology IT systems across healthcare environments. This position requires advanced knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and healthcare interoperability standards such as DICOM and HL7. The Level II specialist will handle escalated technical issues, perform proactive system maintenance, and serve as a knowledgeable liaison between IT teams, radiologists, clinical staff, and external vendors to ensure high system availability and performance. Responsibilities include serving as a second-tier resource for technical support, monitoring system performance, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize workflows, resolving escalated issues, coordinating with vendors, participating in root cause analysis, maintaining documentation, developing user guides, support and maintain interoperability between systems, participating in an on-call rotation, and ensuring compliance with healthcare IT regulations.
