Assistant Civil Engineer

Engage in the research, investigations, studies, or examinations related to the engineering functions or activities of a department or agency. Responsibilities include preparing designs, plans, contract and working drawings, contract specifications, and estimates of quantities. Will coordinate with design consultants on all capital and outside agencies’ projects citywide, and review, comment, and prepare AutoCAD designs. Evaluate contract documents for the modification of new and existing signalized intersections citywide, participate in meetings with design consultants and lead agencies, and maintain records of drawings, plans, maps, surveys, and inspection data. Some assignments may require a driver's license.
