About the Role:
- Bevaya builds high-reliability, AI-first workflow automation engines for the insurance sector.
- The backend services are built in TypeScript and Python, backed by PostgreSQL, with a modern React frontend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain resilient backend services and asynchronous workflows that power complex insurance lifecycles and document intelligence.
- Collaborate closely with product and domain teams to translate business needs into technical reality, analyzing requirements and surfacing edge cases.
- Architect for operational reliability, ensuring fair multi-tenant isolation, mitigating resource contention, and designing tasks to recover cleanly from failures.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience designing, building, and operating production backend microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Strong command of any modern backend language, with the ability to work comfortably across TypeScript and Python.
- Solid grasp of distributed systems fundamentals, including concurrency, asynchronous task processing, idempotency, and failure recovery.
