Role Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end U.S. payroll operations, processing multiple cycles with precision.
- Manage and mentor one direct report, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
- Serve as the internal subject-matter expert, responding to employee inquiries accurately.
Compliance & Systems:
- Ensure full compliance with payroll laws across all jurisdictions, with deep California expertise.
- Proactively monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary policy updates.
- Lead or co-lead the evaluation and implementation of a new global HRIS platform.
Partnership & Process:
- Build a best-in-class integration with the People team to streamline onboarding and offboarding.
- Collaborate with Accounting for accurate payroll journal entries and reconciliations.
- Champion process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and data accuracy.
