Accounting Manager, GL& Close

Role Overview:

• Report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer on a small, lean finance team.
• Own the technically hardest work in the close while developing team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Push the close forward and drive critical-path workstreams to completion.
• Prepare complex areas like stock-based compensation, leases, and payroll accruals.
• Review established areas, manage the Senior Accountant, and hire as the team scales.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on ownership of technical close areas.
• Active CPA preferred; Big 4 or national firm foundation a plus.
• Deep operational US GAAP fluency in areas such as equity compensation and intercompany.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience preparing for or running a company's first external audit.
• ERP migration experience, particularly off small-business systems onto scale platforms.
• SaaS, usage-based, or AI infrastructure accounting exposure is a plus.
