Job Description
This role will play a crucial role in banking relationships as well as with internal reports. Acting as the appointed MLRO of our entity in Egypt. Representing the Financial Institution on AML matters and communicating directly with the CBE and EMLCU. Ensuring that AML and KYC requirements and procedures are properly followed, managing transaction monitoring for fraud and AML issues where relevant. Stay abreast of the regulatory landscape governing the payments industry in Egypt. Interpret and communicate regulatory changes, especially those related to AML/CFT requirements, to relevant stakeholders within the organization.
Conduct periodic reviews and assessments to ensure the effectiveness of transaction monitoring processes and KYC processes. Implementing and monitoring proactive risk management policies and procedures. Supporting the Group Compliance team in areas of need. Provide training to staff on compliance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, with a specific focus on AML/CFT in the Egyptian market. Foster a culture of compliance awareness within the organization.
