The Sikh Research Institute seeks a part-time Translator with expertise in Braj/Gurmukhi for a 5-year commitment.
This role supports the Sikh History Project by translating historical texts for a broad audience.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with researchers to identify texts, estimate timelines, and incorporate feedback from subject matter experts.
Translate primary sources from Braj or Persian into accurate, accessible English.
Ensure translations preserve linguistic nuance, historical context, and Gurmat perspective.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated expertise in Braj and strong command of English.
Ability to read Gurmukhi and experience with historical manuscripts.
Familiarity with South Asian historical contexts and Sikh history.
