About the Role:
- This is a project-based contract role with the Sikh Research Institute.
- The editor will be engaged on a per-deliverable basis with set payments made upon delivery.
Key Deliverables:
- State of the Panth Reports: Comprehensive copyediting and proofreading of longform reports, estimated 15–20 hours per report for 2 reports.
- The Sikh History Project: Light editing of 2 longform articles for grammar, readability, and consistency, plus light editing of 12 shortform factsheets.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience editing longform nonfiction, academic, or research-oriented content.
- Strong command of grammar, style, and clarity with ability to preserve an author's voice.
- Familiarity with Sikh history, tradition, or related fields and SikhRI content and voice.
