About the Role:
- Responsible for all financial activities across multiple projects and leads day-to-day operations of the accounting team.
- Reports directly to the VP of Finance and collaborates with senior leadership, Executive Directors, and customers.
What You'll Do:
- Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff; manage workload distribution to meet deadlines.
- Perform first-level review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for GAAP compliance.
- Lead month-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, and audit deliverables.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 7+ years of experience, including 2+ years in supervision.
- Advanced Excel and accounting software skills, with experience in WIOA or government contracting preferred.
- Strong communication, integrity, and ability to translate financial data for non-financial staff.
