Coding Analyst, HB Coding-Part Time (Remote - Must reside in IL, IN, IA, WI, MO) - Day Shift 20 hours Part-time

Job Overview:

• Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time HB Coding Analyst to ensure accurate coding and reimbursement for outpatient services.
• This remote role requires residency in IL, IN, IA, WI, or MO and involves 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes to outpatient visits and physician encounters.
• Review medical records thoroughly to code diagnoses, procedures, and evaluation and management services.
• Resolve NCCI, NCD/LCD, and other outpatient edit claim failures while meeting productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Must have 3 years of experience in an acute healthcare setting.
• Requires RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, COC, or CPC certification and AHIMA or AAPC membership.
• Preferred candidates have RHIA/RHIT with CCS, CCS-P, COC, or CPC and 4 years of experience.
