The HB Coding Analyst reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial and is the coding and reimbursement expert in ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding with expertise in HCPC Level I and II procedural codes. Responsibilities include assigning appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes to outpatient visit types and evaluation and management codes for physician encounters.

The Pre-Service Specialist will schedule and pre-register patients for their upcoming service at Northwestern Medicine. This role includes scheduling the patient, updating the insurance information, performing medical necessity checks as appropriate, verifying the authorization was initiated by the physician’s office, check-in and check-out, and contacting the patient to notify them of any possible patient financial responsibilities.

Design, specification, development, implementation and testing of mobile application software in an agile development process. Perform software integration and customization, including application performance optimization. Create technical documentation. Diagnose application problems and lead performance optimization analysis. Implement and architect multi-threaded and distributed multi-tier systems. Develop and release mobile applications to Play Store. Mentor developers.

The Triage RN, Access provides clinically expert virtual triage service, functioning as a liaison between the patient and their physician. They assess the presenting problem, utilize evidence based triage protocols to identify acuity, and develop appropriate care advice and next-step recommendations. The role requires excellent customer service, communication skills, and the ability to function as part of an effective team that prioritizes patient care.

The Operations Coordinator, HB Coding coordinates a team effort to compile and maintain data for various functional areas within the Coding Department. This position monitors division statistics and evaluation measures, maintains the department’s dashboard, assists in ensuring competencies and compliance requirements are met, and oversees staffing and work assignments. This role provides lead assistance to Coding Management with related projects and Coding function coverage.
