Responsibilities:
- Utilizes technical coding expertise to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes to outpatient visit types.
- Reviews medical records thoroughly and interprets documentation to select appropriate diagnoses and procedures.
- Sends physician queries when required and resolves NCCI edits with approved modifiers.
Qualifications:
- Must have RHIT, RHIA, or CCS credential.
- Requires 3-4 years of coding experience in an acute healthcare setting.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
