Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze medical record documentation for accurate code assignment.
  • Assign diagnoses and procedure codes as documented by physicians of record.
  • Adhere to official coding guidelines and maintain ethical coding standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; A.S. or B.S. in Health Information Technology or Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years coding experience with ICD-10-CM, HCPCS/CPT, MS-DRG, and related systems.
  • Active RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CIRCC certification or obtain within 6 months.

Work Environment:

  • Remote opportunity with full-time, day shift schedule.
  • Repetitive motion involving approximately 25% keyboard and 75% mouse use.
  • Physical demands are minimal and representative of standard office tasks.
