Responsibilities:
- Assigns appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes to complex outpatient visit types.
- Reviews the medical record thoroughly and interprets documentation for accurate coding.
- Sends physician queries and resolves NCCI edits using approved modifiers.
Qualifications:
- Requires RHIT, RHIA, or CCS credential and 3-4 years of acute care coding experience.
- Meets established minimum coding productivity of 90% and quality standards of 95%.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
