Responsibilities:
- Report and write distinctive stories on a variety of topics from breaking news to enterprise pieces for audio, digital, and video.
- Provide live information and analysis on NPR shows, travel with regularity, and build relationships with NPR member stations.
- Cover breaking domestic news outside Florida as needed, often traveling on short notice.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of professional reporting experience with ability to pivot from breaking news to analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to report for multiple platforms, including video, and edit when required.
- Commitment to detailed research, fact-checking, and working well with diverse constituencies.
Work Location & Requirements:
- This is a remote-required position from the state of Florida, meaning duties are performed outside an NPR facility.
- It is a full-time, exempt role with a salary range of $150,000-$165,000 plus comprehensive benefits.
- The position is union-represented under SAG-AFTRA and bound by the NPR Ethics Handbook.
