The AirCover Insurance Platform team builds systems behind AirCover, including host liability insurance, experiences liability insurance, and host damage protection.
You will join a fast-growing team with greenfield opportunities and a multi-year platform roadmap.

The Difference You Will Make:

Build and own backend services and APIs for policy, coverage, enrollment, and regional rules that scale to new markets.
Implement experimentation hooks, logging, and metrics so Product and Data Science can test offers and measure attach rate with confidence.
Mentor engineers and champion best practices in code quality, testing, and operational excellence.

A Typical Day:

Design, build, and operate distributed backend services with reliable monitoring, logging, and alerting.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and privacy teams to meet high standards for data protection across regions.
Take part in on-call rotations and help improve system reliability.

Your Expertise:

5–9+ years of software engineering experience, ideally building and scaling backend platforms in a global or multi-regional context.
Proficiency in backend development in Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, or similar, with working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
Excellent communication and ability to work through ambiguity with cross-functional teams.
