Job Description
Set work performance metrics and expectations, and provide formal and informal evaluation of staff. Select, train and motivate staff. Maximize relationships with Underwriting, Product, Marketing and IT. Assign claims and comply with state specific regulations and state fair claim practices requirements. Represent the claim department to our customers, agents, regulatory authorities, and other contacts to promote the Companyβs image and mission. Review and audit claim files to ensure compliance with appropriate best practices and claim handling file expectations. Review state specific insurance industry trends and changes to case law and educate staff on potential changes. Participate in individual and department training as needed. Perform other duties as required.
